“Dancing for Alzheimers just makes sense. I get to do what I love for a great cause. I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing group of Atlantans and aid in the research for better treatments and hopefully a cure to this heartbreaking disease.”

Mindy Hylton grew up in Kennesaw, Georgia as a gymnast, dancer and cheerleader. After graduating from the University of Georgia where she was a member of the cheerleading squad and dance team, she pursued her dream of acting. She is represented by Houghton Talent and focuses on TV, film, commercial and voice over work, as well as hosts the Women’s Basketball Coach’s Show at Georgia Tech. She has had the privilege to work with stars such as Beyonce Knowles, Lee Majors, Cuba Gooding Jr., Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel. Be on the look out for this rising star of Atlanta.

She is currently the Director of Marketing and Head Cheerleading Coach for the Georgia Tech Athletic Association. Since coming to Tech in
2004, her involvement with the cheerleaders of Georgia Tech has given her the opportunity to help with multiple groups throughout the Atlanta community. She volunteers with the Special Olympics, organizes activities with the cheerleaders at the Children’s Hospital of Atlanta, and was a mentor with H.E.R.O. for Children. The Georgia Tech Athletic Association continues to stay involved in the community. Last year the baseball program partnered with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to aid in research for childhood cancer and Coach Kinkelaar himself was a dancing star of Atlanta for the Alzheimer’s Association. Our student athletes are always getting involved as well, from reading at elementary schools, volunteering with habitat for humanity or hosting groups such as Big Brother Big Sister at our games (live jasmin cam).

Mindy resides in Atlanta with her husband Jason Hylton, owner of Matador Mexican Cantina in Oakhurst and Glenwood Park and their 3 dogs,
Abby, Kiki and Bailey. She is currently writing a children’s book about the smallest dog Bailey who has scoliosis. She hopes to brighten the day of children with scoliosis and other disabilities with Bailey’s story.

Thank you for supporting Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
